Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer STA Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineering, Staff Engineer STA Expert to support Synopsys PrimeTime Static Timing Analysis tool across pre-sale evaluations, post-sale deployments, and ongoing customer engagements.

The successful candidate will drive product adoption by running competitive benchmarks, leading customer evaluations, and articulating technical advantages to design teams and engineering management. They will also deliver customer training sessions, technical presentations, and hands-on workshops that maximize user proficiency and satisfaction with PrimeTime.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting PrimeTime STA tool across various customer engagements
• Driving product adoption through competitive benchmarks and customer evaluations
• Delivering technical training sessions and workshops
• Providing tape-out support by troubleshooting complex timing issues
• Collaborating with R&D, product marketing, and sales teams to relay customer feedback
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation and best practices guides

The ideal candidate will have:

• Deep hands-on expertise in Synopsys PrimeTime STA tool
• Strong understanding of timing corners, process variations, and signal integrity issues
• Familiarity with synthesis, physical design, extraction, and ECO methodologies
• Proficiency in TCL scripting for automation and tool customization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE or equivalent with 3-4 years of experience
