Description
We are seeking a Mobile Plant Operative to join our team at Biffa Waste Services in Caerphilly, Wales.
As a Mobile Plant Operative, you will be directly responsible for the safe and proper operation and maintenance of site vehicles. This is a multi-task role that involves receiving and directing waste, loading RDF and commodity bales, and maintaining a clean working area.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily equipment checks
- Completing daily report forms for all equipment used, including mileage and service records
- Operating with diligence and care to ensure Health and Safety parameters are strictly adhered to
- Providing control of waste directly at the point of unloading
- Cleaning the working area in and out of the cab
- Informing the shift leader about accidents, unsuitable waste, and other issues
The role requires preventative maintenance and defect reporting to ensure timely servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 15:00 Salary: £26,769 + overtime at 1.5 times the standard rate Benefits:
