Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical and Industrial Piping Designer to join our team in Canada. As a senior designer, you will play a key role in designing and modeling complex industrial installations for the mining and industrial sectors. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative technical solutions that meet high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare layouts and 3D schematics for conceptual and detailed designs of advanced complexity in computer-aided design (CAD) drawings.
- Create 3D models in Autodesk Plant 3D.
- Participate in model review sessions.
- Examine drawings and documentation for equipment suppliers of moderate to advanced complexity.
- Assign work and verify work done by other designers.
- Integrate health, safety, and environmental factors into design.
- Analyze and formulate independent recommendations for solutions to problems of varying complexity.
- Organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to industry codes and standards, as well as departmental practices and procedures.
Requirements:
- Diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Mastery of AutoCAD/Plant 3D, Navisworks, Revit software.
- Experience with PDS, PDMS, AVEVA, CADWorx Plant & P&ID, SP3D, SmartPlant P&ID, AutoPlant, and Inventor.
- Familiarity with 3D cloud points and 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Recap.
- 15+ years of experience in piping design, particularly in petrochemical, oil and gas, and mining industries.
- Experience in designing industrial equipment and knowledge of applicable industry standards and codes.
- Bilingualism is required.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Technical excellence and attention to detail.
- Experience in consulting engineering.
