Tool Preset Equipment Operator II - Anna Engine Plant

At American Honda Motor Company, we are seeking a Tool Preset Equipment Operator II to join our team at the Anna Engine Plant. As a Tool Preset Equipment Operator II, you will be responsible for maintaining all tooling to produce a quality part. You will identify, execute, and communicate changes to ensure a harmonious flow within your area of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assigned checks and apply appropriate actions according to plant and department policies and procedures to ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale.
• Control and maintain all tooling per process requirements utilizing process quality control tables, operation standards, tool preset procedures, and other specialized setups by the tooling department.
• Monitor conditions within the area and react accordingly to prevent negative production impact.
• Monitor and communicate prior day/shift results through reviewing shift communication and providing continuous communication.
• Demonstrate basic understanding of process area tools, materials, and equipment to appropriately react and prevent outflow/negative impact to the department.
• Execute nonconforming product containment/repair and reporting to prevent outflow within the area from poor tooling performance.
• Work with line engineers, plant tool department, and vendors to make improvements.
• Actively participate in department initiatives such as Monozukuri and loss elimination to engage the team, build morale, and promote continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of machining experience or equivalent tooling experience.
• Must understand the metric measuring system.
• Demonstrated ability to respond immediately to production floor needs and requirements.

Working Conditions:

• 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed.
• Daily, weekly, weekend, and holiday overtime as required.
