Cleaner

We are seeking a proactive cleaner to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of external areas of a shopping center in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Sweeping, litter-picking, and washing external walkways, entrances, car parks, and communal areas
• Emptying and cleaning external bins and replacing liners as needed
• Removing chewing gum, graffiti, and other stubborn stains from surfaces
• Cleaning external signage, bollards, benches, and other fixtures
• Monitoring and reporting any hazards, damage, or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Assisting with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow/ice removal, and pressure washing
• Supporting with event setup/cleanup and other ad hoc duties as required
• Following health & safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting faults or supply needs

The ideal candidate will have:

• Desire to work in an adult services environment
• Understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate building

The hourly rate for this position is £13.45, and the working hours are 4 ON 4 OFF, 22.5 hours per week.
