Cleaner

We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Eastgate Shopping Centre.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout the centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the shopping centre.
• Clean and sanitise lifts, including stainless steel surfaces, lift doors, frames, runners, and mirrors.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floor surfaces throughout public and back-of-house areas.
• Clean and sanitise washrooms and staff facilities, replenishing consumables as required.
• Empty waste bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with site procedures.
• Set up, maintain, and safely store cleaning equipment and materials.
• Monitor assigned areas and proactively address cleaning requirements.
• Respond promptly to spillages and other reactive cleaning tasks.
• Support Team Leaders and Supervisors to ensure service excellence is consistently delivered.
• Complete all required training and comply with Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
• A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach to work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
