Automotive Test Technician

We are seeking an Automotive Test Technician to join our team at AVL's Tech Center in Palaiseau.

As a test technician, you will play a crucial role in the validation and development of vehicles and systems on our climatic roller bench.

Your main responsibilities:

• Prepare, equip and instrument vehicles or systems before testing
• Conduct tests on the climatic roller bench according to procedures and client requirements
• Ensure the smooth running of test programs: performance, endurance, homologation, consumption, emissions, climate behaviour, etc.
• Monitor the proper functioning of test equipment and acquisition systems
• Control the quality, consistency and traceability of recorded measurements
• Analyse results and write associated test reports
• Identify, diagnose and report anomalies observed during testing
• Participate in first-level maintenance of laboratory facilities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test methods and processes
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality and environmental rules

Requirements:

• Bac+2 to Bac+3 level qualification in physical measurements, mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, testing or equivalent
• First experience in automotive testing, test laboratories or industrial environment is appreciated
• Knowledge of mechanics, instrumentation, sensors and data acquisition
• Mastery of computer and office tools
• Ability to work rigorously and methodically
• Team spirit, sense of service and good analytical skills
• Pronounced taste for experimental activities and technical environments

Nice to have:

• Experience in climatic or environmental testing
• Knowledge of roller benches, engine benches or automotive testing means
• Familiarity with data acquisition tools and measurement systems
• Knowledge of the automotive sector, electrification or new mobility technologies

Salary range: 29,000€-33,000€
