Research Scientist II, Gene R&D

We are seeking a Research Scientist II, Gene R&D to join our team in Piscataway, NJ.

As a Research Scientist II, Gene R&D, you will develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods, manage project timelines, and analyze data.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize high-throughput sequencing library prep methods
• Manage project timeline and leverage internal resources
• Generate, analyze, interpret, and present data to the broader team
• Communicate with other teams for smooth tech transfer

Requirements:

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related fields
• > 2 years of experience in developing scalable NGS workflows in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
• Experience with Illumina and ONT platforms
• Broad molecular biology and microbiology knowledge
• Hands-on experience with bioinformatics pipelines
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Java
• Experience with biological datasets and file formats
