Description
As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders straight to their doorsteps. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised, and that customers' shopping is secure before setting off. You will communicate with customers, keeping them informed of any delays, dealing with customer queries, and any changes to their order.
The role requires:
- Friendly and welcoming demeanour with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
- Comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment
- Willingness to work across the store and take on new challenges
- Confidence in learning to use route and delivery technology
