Principal Engineer- Product

Prudential Health India is seeking a talented Lead/Principal Software Engineer to join our Experience team in Mumbai.

The role involves building a cloud-native, microservices-oriented, loosely coupled & open technology platform for health insurance, with a focus on reusable components and interactions between applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Deeply understand the long-term architectural direction and engineer technology solutions
• Design, develop, unit test, and implement software programs for backend systems
• Establish standards for platform development and create specifications and detailed plans
• Work closely with other engineers, designers, R&D, analysts, product managers, and stakeholders
• Develop open APIs and capabilities for seamless integration across ecosystem partners
• Use data-driven insights to guide program development
• Develop world-class and reusable platform capabilities as RESTful services

Requirements:

• 6-15 years of experience
• Proven hands-on experience in engineering enterprise-grade solutions
• Demonstrated ability to understand technology and architectural strategy & processes
• Deep expertise in Java, NodeJS, Python, building scalable micro-services, enterprise NoSQL databases, stream-based processing, REST API frameworks, enterprise pub-sub frameworks, and full-duplex secure communication protocols
• Proficiency in tools like Github, Build pipelines, Java, Diverse set of IDEs, Jira, Confluence, Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Jenkins, Postman, Websocket client
