As a Sr. Finance Analyst, you will own Music Business Development by strategizing with the business and generating insights to foster growth, while supporting deal evaluations, goal performance reporting, forecasting, and process building.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking and business partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence decisions through financial insights and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders. You will have advanced financial modeling skills, excellent communication abilities, and a track record of driving results through influence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business teams to develop value propositions
- Develop business cases to support major financial decisions
- Prepare financial metrics, analysis, and reporting
- Manage global financial and business forecast models
- Develop, maintain, and enhance finance controllership via models, reports, and processes
- Demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events
- Identify opportunities for improvement using data and assist the Amazon Music team in taking action
A Day in the Life:
- Strategize with product and marketing stakeholders on customer-facing initiatives to drive customer growth
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to drive product and deal launches
- Analyze deal terms in royalty negotiations with Music Content Acquisition
- Complete operating planning cycles and critical month-end close processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
