Multi-Skilled Journalist

WZZM-TV Grand Rapids, an ABC affiliate operated by TEGNA, seeks an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist. The ideal candidate will create engaging stories, shoot and edit video, and distribute content across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct live shots in breaking news situations
• Develop story ideas and sources
• Research and verify facts
• Produce and edit on-air and online content
• Utilize social media and digital tools for content creation and distribution
• Attend editorial meetings and pitch story ideas

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of reporting experience
• Solid news judgment and communication skills
• Proficiency in ENPS, EDIUS, and Axis graphics
• Ability to work under deadlines and handle live breaking news situations
• Knowledge of Grand Rapids is a plus
