Finance Manager I, Platform

As a Financial Manager focused on Technology Infrastructure at Pinterest, you will have financial and strategic oversight for managing and optimizing the significant investments Pinterest makes in its technology infrastructure, primarily AWS.

You will play a key role in partnership with technology infrastructure leadership in governing infrastructure investments, managing key vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective service to Pinners and Advertisers while enabling future technological innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technical Program Management teams to develop annual, monthly, and weekly operational investments and related infrastructure demand and financial forecasts
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis
• Identify and drive initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and grow OPEX and infrastructure forecasting, and reporting tools and processes
• Champion an AI-First approach to Technology finance partnership, embedding AI tools into forecasting, metrics analysis, and finance decision-making
• Design usage prediction models for short and long-term resource capacity needs
• Proactively identify risks and opportunities
• Perform strategic, time-sensitive analysis and communicate key takeaways

Requirements:

• Experience with forecasting expenses, preferably managing technology infrastructure spending on public infrastructure cloud platforms and product offerings
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate financial analysis and forecasting workflows
• Experience in managing multiple work-streams end-to-end, working across multiple functions and teams
• Expertise in building high-level and detailed financial models
• Strong business partnership skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and deliver against timelines
• Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative mindset
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting or Finance, and a minimum of 5 years of Finance or Business Operational experience in a fast-paced industry
