Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to coordinate and execute maintenance, installation, and improvement activities for various equipment systems at our facility in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Maintenance Management: review pending items, generate daily executive reports, and attend visual management boards
- Safety: verify safety standards, generate SOS reports, and lead the team on safety procedures
- Service Delivery and Facilities: ensure compliance with maintenance routes and service areas
- Costs and Administration: control expenses, track warehouse materials, and generate purchase orders
- Personnel: verify attendance lists, vacation scheduling, and clock-in/clock-out records
- Environmental and Quality: comply with environmental requirements and support ISO 9000 requirements
- Technical Support and Training: provide support to production lines, deliver training courses, and apply FPS and MOS knowledge
- Electrical Systems and Compressed Air: provide support and knowledge of high- and medium-voltage electrical systems and compressed air supply systems
- Cafeteria and Welding: support kitchen equipment maintenance and follow up on welding jobs
- Mechanical Installations and Repairs: install, supervise, and repair mechanical systems
- Production Washer Engineering: update washer engineering, research new technologies, and ensure quality compliance
- Cranes and Manipulators: set up spare parts, implement improvements, and coordinate annual certification
- Combustion Safety: conduct quarterly audits, schedule annual combustion safety audits, and coordinate activities
- Extraction: ensure proper functioning of extraction equipment, set up spare parts, and balance extraction
- HVAC: implement improvements, set up spare parts, and maintain ideal temperature and humidity conditions
- Fire Protection System: coordinate activities, repair leaks, and update drawings
- Improvement Projects: research and implement improvements, write project proposals, and standardize mechanical equipment
- Equipment Lifting: be responsible and certified in equipment and machinery lifting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance, facilities, or plant start-up projects
- Certification in equipment/machinery lifting (forklift/crane), preferred
- Technical knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, compressed air, combustion equipment, mist/dust extraction systems, HVAC, fire protection systems, and industrial wash/dry systems
- Methodologies/Tools: FPS (Ford Production System) / MOS, Green Belt, 8D problem-solving methodology, One Point Lessons (LSP), ISO 9000
- Functional Skills: contract and vendor management, generation of requisitions and purchase orders, cost and material consumption control, management of service departments
- Administrative Skills: handling of maintenance system (MFM), preparation of executive reports, attendance list control, and vacation scheduling
- Leadership Skills: teamwork, trainer/instructor capability, results-driven, effective communication with management
- Languages: fluent English, written and spoken
