Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Datadog, a leading observability and security platform for the AI era. You will work on solving complex problems, designing architecture to scale services, and collaborating with your team to plan important projects.
Responsibilities:
- Solve scaling bottlenecks in critical services
- Deploy new features to production with progressive rollouts using feature flags
- Investigate and fix production issues in services your team owns
- Design ways to scale services for increased traffic
- Plan important projects with your team
Requirements:
- Significant experience in one or more programming languages
- Value code simplicity and performance
- Ability to design architecture to solve problems at high scale
- BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
- Experience using AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows
- Ability to design AI backend systems with awareness of quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs
- 6+ years of experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with high-scale systems like Redis, Cassandra, Kafka
- Background in statistics
- Significant experience with Go, C, or Python
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance coding and problem-solving

Salary: $192,000-$240,000 USD per year
