System Development Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated System Development Engineer to help build Amazon's business-critical financial systems and solutions that operate at scale.

You will work on critical business functions for our customers around the world while meeting system availability goals and ensuring system performance with growing business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale and complex software systems
• Applying your skills in system design, networking, coding/scripting languages, technical communication, and project organization to improve business processes
• Contributing to critical initiatives, building products, leading engineers to troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, and resolve computer-identified alarms
• Making feature enhancements, managing systems, performing software deployments and migrations, hosting management, and automating operational tasks
• Developing tools and end-to-end automation to achieve human-free operations

The ideal candidate has a passion for understanding computing systems and applying that understanding with an obsession for delighting customers.

Basic qualifications:

• 1+ years of systems development experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
