Control Room Operator

We are seeking a Control Room Operator to join our team in Isando, Johannesburg.

As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring blending equipment and processes from the control room. Your goal will be to execute the production plan and ensure that daily and shift production targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and monitoring blending equipment and processes
• Executing the production plan and meeting production targets
• Monitoring all stages of the blending process
• Verifying job cards and product formulations
• Coordinating raw material orders and laboratory samples
• Capturing production and quality information accurately
• Investigating and reporting deviations and incidents
• Implementing preventative measures to minimise loss and spillage
• Operating the weighbridge and capturing vehicle and material information
• Providing operational instructions to support staff
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Requirements:

• N6 or National Diploma in Chemical, Operations, or Mechanical studies
• At least two years of experience in a blending, processing, or similar manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work shifts and respond to urgent production requirements
