Description

As a Quality Engineer Intern at Porsche, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing root cause/corrective actions for technical issues requiring timely solutions for the field.

Your tasks will involve working across all vehicle systems engineering disciplines to maintain continuous quality improvement.

The internship is expected to run from January 2027 through July 2027.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze warranty cases, including monitoring for frequent product quality issues and discovering new product quality issues unknown to Porsche AG.
  • Conduct technical reviews of repurchase cases and deeper investigations of repurchases initiated for technical reasons.
  • Collect ground truth data to assist PAG development departments in understanding issues.
  • Install data acquisition equipment, write appropriate configurations to capture data, and ensure the recorded data is suitable for analysis.

Requirements:

  • Completed or in the process of completing requirements for an Engineering Degree (ABET accredited BSME or BSEE).
  • Theoretical and practical automotive knowledge across all vehicle engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems for logging and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
