Apprenticeship as a Motor Vehicle Mechatronic Engineer

Kick-start your career with us! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as apprentices in motor vehicle mechatronics engineering.

Duration and Start Date: The apprenticeship lasts 3.5 years, starting on 01 September 2027.

Salary: You'll receive a training allowance based on the collective bargaining agreement:

• 1st year: €1,261 per month
• 2nd year: €1,328 per month
• 3rd year: €1,419 per month
• 4th year: €1,485 per month

Plus holiday and Christmas bonuses.

Working Hours and Holiday Entitlement:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Up to 53 free days per year, including 30 days of annual leave

Vocational School: You'll attend the Nicolaus-August-Otto vocational college in Cologne for day classes.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and fix errors using diagnostic techniques
• Work on electric vehicles and high-voltage systems
• Maintain, repair, and inspect vehicles, including emissions testing
• Install and test systems like air conditioning and navigation
• Analyse mechanical and electronic components
• Use diagnostic software and plan repairs
• Process customer orders and explain technical procedures clearly

Requirements:

• GCSE grade 10 or higher
• Interest in maths, physics, and technology
• Manual dexterity and concentration
• Enthusiasm for cars, mechanics, and electronics
