As a Forward Deployed Engineer at SnapLogic, you will be a trusted technical advisor to customers on their AI journey.
Working alongside the Director, AI Center of Excellence, you will bring a value-first mindset and comfort operating in enterprise ambiguity.
This role involves helping customers understand where SnapLogic fits to deliver real business outcomes and proving it.
You will build a deep understanding of a customer's landscape to uncover pilot use cases demonstrating measurable value against clear KPIs, identifying expansion opportunities that grow the company's footprint over time.
Partnering closely with Enterprise Account teams, you will guide customers from an ambiguous idea of what's possible through a proven pilot to sustained adoption.
Your responsibilities include:
- Identifying Opportunities: Partner with customers to build a deep understanding of their business and uncover high-value AI use case opportunities.
- Building Momentum: Demonstrate progress early and often through iterative prototyping, showing value before a solution is finalized.
- Driving Execution Consensus: Lead high-stakes briefings, translating complex AI concepts into strategic business imperatives, ROI, and risk mitigation.
- Proving Value: Support the account team in building compelling business cases and eliciting baseline KPIs needed to prove success.
- Translating Complexity: Navigate complex enterprise matrices to align diverse stakeholders around a shared technical vision.
- Uncovering Friction: Bring genuine curiosity to every engagement, asking questions that reveal operational inefficiencies others miss.
- Applying Best Practices: Bring industry AI judgment into customer conversations, including prompt engineering, LLM selection, tool design, and cost control.
- Shaping the Product: Feed learnings from the field back to internal teams to shape SnapLogic's product roadmap.
- Creating Playbooks: Recognize recurring deployment patterns and share them with the wider team to make successful approaches repeatable.
- Staying Cutting-Edge: Maintain deep, current knowledge of the latest developments in AI.
- Evangelizing SnapLogic: Help customers understand the company's capabilities and where each drives value.
Requirements:
- Experience in a customer-facing, hands-on advisory role (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Field CTO).
- Exceptional executive presence, with the gravitas to tactfully challenge assumptions and guide C-level decision-making.
- A track record of building working prototypes and solutions under ambiguity.
- Experience with enterprise data and application integration, and an interest in how orchestration and agentic workflows fit into that landscape.
- Solid understanding of AI/LLM concepts, including prompt engineering, governance, model selection, tool/function design, and cost to performance trade-offs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to move fluidly between deep technical discussions and executive-level business-value conversations.
- Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to coordinate across Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver outcomes.
- Curiosity and empathy for how businesses operate and the people navigating change inside them.
Preferred qualifications:
- Hands-on programming experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js) for rapidly building and iterating on AI prototypes.
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) or the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Prior experience with enterprise integration platforms (iPaaS).
- Experience deploying AI or software solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
