Counsel, Telecommunications (Starlink)

As a Telecommunications Counsel at SpaceXAI's Starlink, you will advise the business on laws and regulations in Europe and Africa.

Starlink is a revolutionary satellite constellation delivering low-latency broadband internet worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Advise the Starlink team on laws, regulations, and policies impacting the business in Europe and parts of Africa, particularly telecommunications and internet services laws.
• Analyse legal and regulatory risks, communicating them to business and technical teams for sound compliance decisions and licensing in Europe and Africa.
• Monitor legal and policy developments related to Starlink.
• Interface with governmental agencies on regulatory, consumer protection, and law enforcement matters.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in regulatory compliance in the telecommunications industry related to broadband and/or satellite services.
• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Fluency in French and/or Portuguese.
• Knowledge of telecommunications business and regulatory issues outside the US.
• Prior experience managing legal issues for a high-growth multinational company.

Additional Requirements:

• Based in London, England, requiring onsite presence - remote and hybrid work not considered.
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
