Field Service Engineer

You will work as a Field Service Engineer at Synopsys, installing, configuring, and validating emulation and prototyping hardware at customer sites and internal labs. Your role involves troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and integration issues, as well as collaborating with various teams to improve system reliability and product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and validate Synopsys emulation and prototyping hardware at customer sites and internal labs
• Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, networking, and integration issues across boards, chassis, power distribution, and peripherals
• Partner with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to surface product issues and recommend design improvements
• Develop and execute validation procedures to confirm hardware quality and system integration
• Document installation outcomes, failure modes, corrective actions, and deployment metrics
• Travel domestically and internationally approximately 70% of the time to support installations, upgrades, and escalations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred
• Experience with hardware installation, integration, or validation
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, firmware, and system-level integration issues
• Comfort working with networking equipment, power systems, cabling, and rack-level infrastructure
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 70% of the time

• Experience with emulation, prototyping, or FPGA-based verification platforms
