Software Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join our Quality Verification team at EA Studios. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our games and experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation tools to support quality verification processes for FC Online and related projects.
• Collaborate with game development and QA teams to gather requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
• Analyze existing workflows and legacy tools, and utilize AI-based approaches to automate and improve efficiency and quality.
• Continuously enhance automation tools to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Design and verify system architecture and non-functional requirements for large-scale microservice-based game servers and backend systems.
• Develop and support functional and non-functional testing tools throughout the game development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with global Quality Engineering teams to share technology and integrate best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of practical software development experience.
• Proficiency in major programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Scala.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Shell Script, or Groovy.
• Experience with automation tool development or development and quality process automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis, or Bamboo.
• Experience with Lean/Agile software development processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with online game development.
• Understanding of software development lifecycles and processes/test automation.
• Experience with large-scale microservice architecture or automated testing and load testing for online services.
• Practical experience with AI/ML for improving legacy workflows, tools, and engineering efficiency.
