Description
We are looking for a Quality Designer II (Lead QA) with deep expertise in quality assurance solutions to lead testing strategies, promote technical innovation, and foster team growth. You will be a critical contributor to EA's Quality Verification (QV) craft, driving quality strategy, championing data-informed decisions, and mentoring teams to deliver exceptional player experiences.
Main Responsibilities
- Testing Strategy & Leadership: Define and implement scalable testing strategies aligned with product and business priorities. Drive risk-based testing approaches and ensure appropriate test coverage across features and systems.
- Quality Process Ownership: Establish and oversee robust quality processes that promote excellence across projects. Ensure alignment between quality goals and development roadmaps.
- Data-Driven Quality & Insights: Conduct root cause analysis and deep investigations to identify quality gaps. Translate project metrics and telemetry into actionable insights and improvement strategies.
- Automation & Innovation: Partner with automation and engineering teams to identify high-value automation opportunities. Leverage data analytics, AI-driven testing approaches, and modern development tools to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Development, Production, Engineering, and other disciplines across multiple time zones. Act as a quality advocate in planning, feature reviews, and milestone assessments.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor and guide QV team members in best practices, technical growth, and career development. Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to the evolution of the QV discipline.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Verification.
- Proven experience leading quality strategies for complex software or game development projects.
- Experience mentoring or leading QA/QV teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience translating metrics into data-driven decisions.
- Experience working in collaborative environments across multiple locations and time zones.
- Experience with automation strategies, data analysis, and defect prevention models.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience with software development practices, system architecture, and development risks.
