Development Manager - EA SPORTS™ UFC

The EA SPORTS UFC franchise offers an exciting spectacle and entertainment of MMA for over 20 million players globally. It provides fluid and responsive mixed martial arts through innovative gameplay technology.

Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, the EA SPORTS UFC team aims to become the world's greatest fighting game. As a Development Manager on UFC, you will be responsible for planning and executing cross-functional development efforts across multiple teams and disciplines.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage a development team consisting of Software Engineers, Animators, Artists, Producers, Designers, and QV.
• Provide project management support for your team, scheduling work in alignment with project goals, tracking dependencies, identifying and resolving risks, and facilitating prioritization decisions.
• Collaborate with other project managers to resolve cross-team issues and improve project management processes.
• Ensure each project setup and progress aligns with leadership expectations and complete status reports at the required cadence.
• Establish processes to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and team members are engaged.

Your qualifications:

• 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
• Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Game Development, Business, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a software development environment, including using tools like Jira.
• Experience working with expansive teams with various skillsets, experience, and backgrounds.
• Familiarity with tools like Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex information, communicate risks clearly, and tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different project timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to use generative AI productivity tools for daily workflow optimisation, early-stage ideation, rapid prototyping, with the ability to critically validate AI output and iterate effectively is an asset.

Salary: $104,500 - $142,800 CAD
