Buyer

Standard Nuclear is fueling America's nuclear renaissance at industrial scale.

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing technical components, equipment, materials, and services that support Standard Nuclear's engineering, manufacturing, and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Technical Purchasing & Sourcing: Source components, equipment, materials, and services based on engineering, manufacturing, and operational requirements. Review technical specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and purchase requests to understand sourcing needs. Identify and evaluate suppliers capable of meeting technical, quality, schedule, and commercial requirements.
• Purchase Order & Delivery Management: Create, issue, and manage purchase orders from placement through delivery and closeout. Track order status, supplier commitments, lead times, delivery dates, and open actions.
• Supplier, Cost & Lead-Time Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships with manufacturers, distributors, fabricators, and service providers. Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve lead times, increase availability, and strengthen supplier performance.
• Cross-Functional & Process Support: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and project teams to support changing material and equipment needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing, or related work
• Experience purchasing technical components, equipment, fabricated parts, industrial materials, or engineering services preferred
