RN Clinical Nurse II (Per Diem) - Children's Outpatient

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with prior experience in case management, care coordination, and/or nursing leadership roles to join our team as a Clinical Nurse II in the Children's Outpatient department.

As a Clinical Nurse II, you will provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. You will report to the Nurse Manager/Director and be responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in identifying and meeting learning needs, attending education programs, and using patient education materials relevant to the patient population
• Evaluating patient care, identifying expected patient outcomes, and communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care
• Implementing care plans, demonstrating competence in caring for patients with complex problems, and consulting with resources in a timely fashion
• Providing leadership, developing goals to promote professional growth, and participating in unit goals and performance improvement activities
• Assessing patients, recognising data from complex situations, and synthesizing assessment data into meaningful wholes
• Planning care, collaborating with patients and families, and making use of available multidisciplinary resources

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• One (1) year of relevant and current experience required
