Head of Financial Reporting and Control

We are seeking a Head of Financial Reporting and Control to join our Finance team in Ebene, Port Louis, Mauritius. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing accounting and financial reporting deliverables, preparing statutory accounts, and maintaining a robust financial control environment.

Principal accountabilities include:

• Reviewing all accounting and financial reporting deliverables
• Reviewing monthly profit-and-loss and balance sheets
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
• Ensuring a robust financial control environment
• Liaising with the business and function to ensure accurate and timely accounting
• Leading the Finance team in regulatory change and IFRS change projects
• Performing independently and within a team setting to improve and streamline processes
• Submitting regulatory reporting to regulators
• Completing Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training

The ideal candidate will have solid professional experience in an accounting-related field, experience in group reporting, statutory accounts preparation, and managing external audits. They will be able to work independently under pressure, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong leadership skills to navigate onshore and offshore teams.
