Description
The Data Products team at Salesforce is responsible for defining the frontier for data at Slack. As a Product Manager on the team, you'll tackle problems across our core data stack, building the context for AI, turning insights into action, reimagining data exploration, and scaling the data experience.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with customers, engineers, and data teams to understand their workflows and where agents fall short.
- Set the strategy and roadmap, then prototype with coding agents alongside engineering and design.
- Define success metrics to guide priorities, and keep iterating after launch.
- Make data-driven decisions the norm by simplifying experimentation and bringing insights into Slack channels.
Requirements:
- 5+ years shipping technical products as a PM, data scientist, or analyst who shaped a product roadmap.
- Background in data science, data engineering, or product analytics, with working knowledge of A/B testing and the statistics behind ship decisions.
- Hands-on experience building working prototypes with coding agents.
- Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to both engineers and executives.
Nice to Have:
- Experience building agents, MCP servers, or LLM products, including their evals.
- Experience shipping data or analytics features to external customers.
- Experience driving adoption of a new tool or practice across an organisation.
- Familiarity with semantic layers or data catalogs (dbt, DataHub), experimentation platforms (Statsig, Eppo, Optimizely), and warehouses or query engines (Snowflake, Trino, Spark).
The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually.
