Sr. Backend Engineer

We are seeking two senior software engineers, alternatively titled as senior backend engineers, to join our Infrastructure Team or Data Feeds Team. As a Senior Software Engineer at YipitData, you will lead high-impact projects, drive business outcomes, and accelerate your growth.

Infrastructure Team Responsibilities:

• Implement connectors to fetch ERP data, ensuring high availability
• Develop and upgrade backend APIs to meet evolving customer requirements
• Design and improve ERP system's data storage, ensuring efficient and secure data management
• Collaborate with teams to design technical solutions, bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation
• Maintain and upgrade existing services, ensuring smooth operations and evolution
• Work closely with global teams, adapting to varying work hours to ensure seamless data management

Data Feeds Team Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Ensure stability, reliability, and high availability of existing data systems and services
• Construct and refine expandable, high-performance data architecture
• Provide high-quality data services to internal users, partnering with various teams
• Design and implement data functionalities with intuitive data visualizations
• Oversee integration and maintenance of collaborative data with third-party clients
• Enforce data governance, security, and compliance best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a top-tier institution
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and advanced algorithms
• Excellent proficiency in Python, Golang, or Java, with experience in messaging platforms, relational/NoSQL datastores, and large-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with microservice architecture, API gateway patterns, and service observability
• Proven track record of building and operating systems with strict latency and reliability requirements

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and performance tuning
• Experience with AI agents/harnesses and DevOps practices
