Description

We are seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to help build networked game experiences for EA Sports titles. As an Online Software Engineer, you will work on implementing, maintaining, and improving new features and technology for a fast-paced, action-oriented multiplayer sports game. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging EA's Digital Platform technologies to implement server features, components, and services.
  • Creating and maintaining client code to support features and improve multiplayer experiences.
  • Optimizing client and server online systems to improve latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.
  • Designing and iterating on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.
  • Working closely with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.
  • Owning experiences through the full stack, from UI in the game client all the way to the backend services and databases that power those experiences.

You will need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development with a strong proficiency in both C#/.NET for backend services and C++ for Unreal Engine game development.
  • Experience developing in and debugging multi-threaded/concurrent architectures.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL, Redis).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
