Description
As a Field Sales Rep II Channel at Bayer Crop Science, you will achieve sales goals and deliver a personalised customer experience by executing the Customer Engagement Process and owning squad-agreed business objectives.
You will identify customer needs to develop account plans and sales forecasts, create tailored integrated solutions, and present clear value propositions to customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Achieving assigned sales targets and delivering on squad-agreed business goals through proactive territory and account management;
- Developing and implementing dealer and account business plans, managing forecasting and inventory to ensure product availability and demand fulfilment;
- Serving as the key business consultant to retailers, dealers, and top growers, articulating product value and demonstrating performance against competitors;
- Creating and presenting customised integrated solutions and value propositions that address customer needs and drive adoption;
- Collaborating closely with squad members and cross-functional teams to maximise services and commercial impact;
- Using market and competitive data to inform decisions, prioritise opportunities, and adapt territory strategy;
- Executing program fulfilment and managing area claims and problem resolution in line with Bayer policies;
- Travelling frequently (~60%) for regular face-to-face customer engagement and territory coverage.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated success in sales, account management, or related commercial roles with strong territory results and customer-facing experience;
- Proven ability to develop account plans, manage forecasting, and influence buying decisions with dealers and growers;
- Strong agronomic or product knowledge relevant to crop protection and seed/traits, with the ability to communicate technical benefits clearly;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities;
- Solid business acumen, account planning, influencing, and critical-thinking skills;
- Proficient user-level skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and comfortable using digital tools and data to inform decisions;
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently and work in a rural environment;
- Position requires driving for the company that may fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction.
In return, you can expect a salary of approximately between $72,000.00- $108,000.00, additional compensation including a bonus or commission, and benefits such as health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, and sick leave.
