Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Technical Engineering Manager to lead a core team building a new kind of agentic engineering system. This system aims to make the rigor of producing safety-critical software repeatable, translating precise specifications into production-ready C/C++ and Rust software.

Job Overview The successful candidate will combine AI agents, systems engineering, deterministic validation, security, and functional-safety practices into a production platform. They will prove it against real driver-development work and then scale what succeeds across various NVIDIA teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-impact core team building the future safety-ready agentic workflow for complex C/C++/Rust systems software and drivers.
  • Define the architecture and technical strategy for taking clear specifications through design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, validation, review, and release.
  • Build agents and workflows that perform real systems-development work, including feature implementation, defect diagnosis and repair, regression analysis, refactoring, test development, performance optimization, and compatibility analysis.
  • Develop the harnesses, skills, tools, evaluations, deterministic validators, observability, and feedback loops that make agentic development dependable and continuously improving.
  • Create an engineering culture that combines ambitious invention with intellectual honesty, technical depth, measurable evidence, and an uncompromising quality bar.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ overall years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical system development and relevant industry standards (such as ISO 26262, DO-178C).
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Effective communication and partnership skills, enabling productive work with different teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading development of graphics, display, camera, multimedia, networking, storage, kernel, or other production driver software.
  • Experience building developer platforms, autonomous engineering systems, or multi-agent infrastructure adopted across multiple production software teams.
  • Significant contributions to agentic systems, systems software, developer tools, safety/security engineering, or open-source ecosystems.
  • Experience with NVIDIA DRIVE OS, QNX, automotive software, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, formal verification, or safety- and cybersecurity-evidence pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering realities of driver software, including concurrency, memory safety, ABI and platform boundaries, hardware/firmware interaction, debugging on target, performance, compatibility, CI, and release engineering.

Benefits Competitive salaries and a generous benefits package (www.nvidiabenefits.com).
