Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) Float to join our innovative float team at Aurora in the Greater Milwaukee area. As a float therapist, you will have the opportunity to treat patients at outpatient clinic locations within a 45-mile radius of your home site.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret physician referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary evaluations
  • Establish a plan of care and implement individual treatment based on evaluation results and functional goals
  • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, adjusting the treatment plan as needed
  • Plan for and complete patient discharge, including providing written home programs and patient/family teaching
  • Complete all required documentation, including patient progress notes and discharge summaries
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and pursue professional growth through continuing education

Requirements:

  • Physical Therapist license issued by the state in which you practice (Wisconsin or Illinois)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Intermediate computer skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and squat throughout the workday
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, up to 10 lbs. from waist to overhead, and carry up to 40 lbs. at waist height
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present
