Description
Sebring International Raceway seeks a talented professional to join us as a Corner Marshal at our Sebring, Florida location.
As a Corner Marshal, you will be stationed at various points around the race track, observing and monitoring track conditions, and communicating with drivers using flags to warn of track conditions and provide assistance in case of collisions, accidents, or track problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Observing, monitoring, and assessing track surface conditions
- Providing consistent information to drivers using racing flags and signals
- Monitoring competitors for driving behavior and car mechanical condition
- Assisting drivers and others in the event of an incident
- Communicating information to the radio tower, stewards, and emergency medical responders
This role requires:
- High school diploma or GED, with one to three months of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to work in all types of weather, on weekdays and weekends, and some evenings
- Participation in the Substance Abuse Program (SAP) as this is a safety-sensitive position
Physical demands of the job include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds, with frequent visual demands such as close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
