Description
We invite you to consider being part of delivering the Government's commitment to having integrated mental health teams in all schools in Surrey by 2030. As a Senior Clinician, you will be mentoring and/or supervising the development of Low Intensity CBT practitioners, building a culture of high-quality clinical practice. You will take the lead in building relationships with senior leaders in schools, providing regular case consultation, support and advice, and being a 'link' to the wider children's mental health services. You will also hold a caseload, delivering direct interventions to children, young people and families.
The Surrey School-Based Needs (SBN) service works as part of geographical hubs, with each team having a clinical base but also being co-located and delivering support in a range of schools in their area. We currently have a 0.8 WTE (30 hours per week) vacancy for Band 7 Senior Clinician in our North 'Hub' area - based in our Spelthorne team, based in Chertsey.
The successful applicant will be a registered health or social care professional with significant post-qualification experience working therapeutically, clinically, or consultatively within a CYP Educational or Mental Health setting. Relevant professional registration/accreditation is required for this post.
The salary for this post is £51,657 to £58,785 a year, inclusive of 5% Fringe HCAS, pro-rata.
