Description
We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer - Networking II to join our team. As a Hybrid role, you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Responsibilities:
- Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
- Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required
- Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation
- Participate as a member of project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Typically 2-4 years experience
- Experience in software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
- Experience using software systems design tools and programming languages (preferably Python)
- Experience in Software Automation, preferably with Python
- Experience with multiple operating systems like Linux, Unix, Windows, etc.
- Experience in Network device management and deployment (routing, switching, and firewall devices)
- Experience or understanding of IXIA, Spirant, or similar network traffic generation/analysis tools
