Senior SMTA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior SMTA Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As an SMT Subject Matter Expert, you will implement and enforce NVIDIA's DFx, quality, and reliability standards. You will be responsible for SMTA operational readiness and ensuring products meet all quality and business KPI's.

Responsibilities:

• Work with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Establish and enforce Critical to Quality process control monitors and determine supplier's manufacturing limits.
• Review New Product Designs and partner with CM's to perform DFx and process characterization.
• Monitor SMT process data KPI's on NPI and Pre-Production builds.
• Transfer products from prototype to Mass Production.
• Work with Contract Manufacturers and ODMs to utilize new materials and technologies effectively.

Requirements:

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Sciences, or Chemistry.
• 8+ years in PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes.
• Extensive expertise in PCBA Technologies and Manufacturing with a strong background in Quality and Supplier Management.
• Proven expertise with complex PCB assemblies, materials, and Signal Integrity challenges.
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with various Hardware/Signal Integrity and Reliability Engineering Teams.
• Good Leadership and oral/written communications skills.
• High motivation and creative thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and English proficiency.
