Description
We are seeking a Facilities Equipment Service Technician to join our team at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. As a Facilities Equipment Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements on facilities equipment and systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities equipment maintenance and repair, with experience working in an industrial or heavy commercial environment. You will be expected to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, evaluate and recommend equipment improvements, and participate in a reliability-centered maintenance program.
In this role, you will:
- Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building controls
- Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield
- Perform equipment failure analysis and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Participate in a reliability-centered maintenance program and support total equipment management
- Provide mentorship and teambuilding through work habits, communication, and sharing of knowledge and expertise
Requirements:
- Completion of a 2-year technical degree or equivalent equipment service experience
- Desired: 3 years of experience in a facilities environment (industrial or heavy commercial)
- Working knowledge of facilities low and medium voltage electrical equipment and building management systems
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment, such as HVAC, refrigeration, air compressors, and pumps
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with production, equipment service associates, and contractors
