Engineer Specialist Maintenance

We are seeking an Engineer Specialist Maintenance to join our team in Chihuahua, Mexico.

The successful candidate will have a fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls, electrical background, and experience with Allen Bradley Panel View, AB Servo, and AB VFD drives.

Responsibilities:

• Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation and follow up on automation projects and installations
• Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation problems supporting day-to-day production issues
• Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements
• Define, design, and maintain the plant controls strategy
• Review, approve, and load machine controls software
• Conduct Machine Acceptance for new and retool equipment
• Review and approve technical drawings
• Prepare projects to improve machine controls and issue PIR's and orders
• Conduct technical review of recaps
• Review and approve new technologies, materials, and components
• Provide technical support for energy efficiency activities
• Coordinate and support vendor installations in plant

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
• Electrical background
• Experience with Allen Bradley Panel View, AB Servo, and AB VFD drives
• Familiarity with VFD's, Armor starts, encoders, network/Ethernet controls
• Strong problem-solving skills, including 8Ds, FMEAs, and DMAICs
• Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment
• Fanuc robot experience
• Kawasaki programming, RS Logics, Microsoft office
• PLC
• Ability to read prints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics
• Experienced in laser burning
• Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques
• Networking understanding, DH+, Ethernet, remote IO
• Ability to read blueprints
• Simulation modeling exposure
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
