Software Engineer, Data Platform

Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment with a focus on empowering live communities. The Data Platform team develops and operates the data platform that powers data systems and decision-making, handling over 200 billion events a day.

As a software engineer on Data Platform, you will deliver the next generation of Twitch data technology, building reliable and scalable tools, reviewing and shaping peer work, and participating in a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new capabilities in data warehouses and pipelines
• Improve the reliability, flexibility, and scalability of existing tools
• Collaborate on the vision as the team scales to the next petabyte
• Enhance workflows using AI tooling

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer
• Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals
• Familiarity with AI coding tools

Nice to Have:

• Experience using Golang or Python
• Experience with distributed, highly available systems
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Contributions to open source
