HAL -1st Commis TAM - SBI

We are seeking a skilled cook to join our team on board. As a 1st Commis TAM - SBI, you will be responsible for handling and preparing food for service to guests and crew according to our company's menus and recipes.

Key Responsibilities

• You will comply with company policy regarding waste separation and environmental compliance, acting as a company ambassador for food waste reduction.
• You will be responsible for the overall quality, quantity, attractiveness, and correctness of all food items prepared and served.
• You will implement and execute food handling and cleaning procedures for the galley in accordance with USPH standards.
• You will follow all HACCP procedures set by the company.
• You will properly utilize, maintain, and return equipment and utensils to prevent damage, loss, or undue maintenance.
• You will report any malfunctioning equipment or furnishings in need of repair or refurbishing to the Chef de Partie.
• You will ensure guest satisfaction scores are met for food ratings in your assigned area.
• You will follow guidelines and instructions established by the Chef de Partie and/or Chef de Cuisine.
• You will maintain a high level of productivity, cleanliness, and sanitation throughout your entire work shift.
• You will perform other job-related functions as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• You will have 2+ years of experience in a 5-star hotel, cruise ship, or high-profile restaurant performing similar functions.
• You will have experience in high-volume operations of at least 100 meals per service.
• You will have certification from an accredited advanced food safety program, with extensive knowledge in VSP preferred.
• You will have extensive kitchen machinery and knife safety knowledge.
• You will be able to effectively read, write, and speak English.
• A degree from an accredited culinary college or university is preferred.
