Software Engineer - Video

Join Twilio as a Software Engineer on the Voice Connectivity Trust team. You will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, estimations, sprint planning, coding, testing, deployments and on-call support.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement real-time services with high throughput and low latency requirements
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and devise solutions
• Express thoughts and ideas as detailed prose for collaboration with leads and cross-functional teams
• Scale a complex distributed platform with high availability, reliability, and media fidelity
• Solve customer problems for the Voice channel

Qualifications:

• 2-3+ years of experience in large-scale, distributed applications environment on JVM-based technologies
• Experience building RESTful services, API design, and event-driven architectures
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack or Azure
• Experience with on-call rotations, incident response, and monitoring/alerting tools
• Excellent written communication skills and strong Java fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field
