Sr Technical Program Manager, Mathematical Software & Algorithms

The Technical Program Manager, Mathematical Software and Algorithms is responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and delivery of the Battlespace Awareness software for critical programs - ensuring it meets all technical, functional, and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership and Strategy: Develop and maintain a detailed project and execution plan, including feature development, testing and validation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained for the project, including technical specifications, user manuals, and project reports.
• Release Management: Oversee the planning and execution of the software release process, ensuring that deployment is carried out smoothly and efficiently.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, internally across teams and externally with stakeholders.
• Resource Allocation: Assess and allocate necessary resources, including personnel, software, and hardware, to ensure the project is adequately supported.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with subject matter experts to minimize impact on the project timeline and deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other divisions and departments to ensure software supports program priorities and meets all integration requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Extensive project management experience, preferably in software development.
• Demonstrable understanding of optimization, applied probability, and AI/ML technology.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity and experience working with materiel leadership or mission partners within Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations.
• Experience working on or alongside a team developing mathematical software, such as optimization solvers, estimation engines, simulation frameworks, or applied probability models.
