Product Data & Configuration Management Specialist

We are seeking a Product Data & Configuration Management Specialist to join our team. As part of our Product Data & Configuration Management team, you will ensure the quality, consistency, and reliability of product-related data throughout the entire development lifecycle. Working closely with development teams and international stakeholders, primarily within the Volkswagen Group environment, you will support product structures, releases, and change management processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain bills of materials and product data in relevant systems
• Coordinate change requests, releases, and product data updates throughout the development process
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with Product Data Management standards
• Support project tracking, status reporting, and stakeholder communication
• Contribute to the optimization and automation of PDM processes, including the use of AI tools
• Collaborate with international teams, primarily within the Volkswagen Group environment

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in Product Data Management, BOM management, or technical data maintenance
• Good understanding of change management, release processes, and product structures
• Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented work style
• Advanced MS Office and SAP skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and AI-supported solutions
• Fluent in English and German
