Description
We are seeking an Exchange Traded Instrument Data Maintainer to join our team. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Exchange Traded Instrument data, including real-time, reference, and end-of-day pricing data for equities on our database. You will need to adhere to all efficiency, quality, and compliance requirements, as well as handle customer queries related to the process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and validating the accuracy of data received from various sources
- Developing expertise in data-related issues
- Building knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets
- Delivering projects efficiently
- Ensuring that information stored in databases is accurately reflected on products by crafting or running data quality checks and standards
- Ensuring quality and time-efficient production of financial information to products
- Responding to data queries and providing high-level support to clients
- Analysing client cases to form patterns and proactively improve data accuracy
- Consolidating information around the dataset leading to the establishment of standard processes
- Monitoring market events to anticipate changes in financial instruments and taking actions efficiently
- Improving usage of available tools to maintain/improve content quality during daily operations
- Mentoring and training analysts on data issues, databases, and products
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Good financial market knowledge
- Knowledge of Refinitiv products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work in shifts
- Experience in migrating data from one system to another (advantageous)
- Excel knowledge
- Resilience while prioritizing multiple tasks
- Problem-solving and attention to detail
