Development Manager - EA Sports Technology Group

Electronic Arts is seeking a Development Manager to join the EA SPORTS Technology Group in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This is a 12-month temporary position requiring hybrid onsite work at their Burnaby, B.C. studio.

The Development Manager will partner with Technical Artists to support the successful delivery of tools, workflows, and content across EA SPORTS. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, collaboration, and partner management skills, with experience in project management, production, or team coordination in software development or a related technical environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day support for Technical Artists
• Clarifying production priorities and aligning team efforts with project goals
• Facilitating collaboration within the Technical Art team and with partner teams
• Supporting team planning, onboarding, resourcing conversations, and development opportunities for team members
• Tracking task progress, dependencies, risks, and capacity
• Partnering with production and Technical Art leadership to balance scope, quality, and timelines
• Communicating progress, risks, and changes to project teams and coordinating requirements with external partners

Requirements:

• 2+ years of project management, production, or team coordination experience in software development, game development, or a related technical environment
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Interactive Entertainment, Commerce, Digital Arts, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with Agile or Scrum frameworks is an asset
• Experience using JIRA/JaaS
• Familiarity with tools such as Miro, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and other project-tracking and reporting tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities across different project timelines
