Description

Join Graphcore's Graduate Programme as a Cloud Platform Engineer and start your career with two years of hands-on learning.

As a Graduate Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll help develop, deploy, and operate services across Graphcore's high-performance AI infrastructure.

Your work will support the systems used by internal teams and Graphcore cloud customers.

You believe technology should expand human potential and make progress more accessible.

You'll write automation, investigate issues, analyze logs and metrics, and help validate AI hardware and the infrastructure around it.

It's a chance to see how Linux, networking, storage, and cloud services fit together and contribute to the platforms that make large-scale AI possible.

During the two-year programme, you'll build practical experience in Linux, cloud technologies, networking, storage, observability, OpenStack, Kubernetes, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Hands-on automation and troubleshooting will help you understand how these systems fit together and develop a methodical approach to investigating issues.

You'll learn to use logs and metrics to test your thinking and explain what you find.

Working with engineers, researchers, and Datacentre Operations will help you understand how platform decisions affect the people using these services and develop your technical judgement and communication skills.

We're looking for:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electronic Engineering, or a related subject, completed by summer 2027 or within the two years before the programme starts
  • Practical experience using the Linux command line, with scripting or programming skills such as Python or Bash
  • Familiarity with Git or another version-control system, with a clear approach to documentation and code review
  • A methodical approach to troubleshooting and the ability to communicate your findings and work with others

Benefits include:

  • Flexible working
  • Retirement planning support: up to 5% matched pension
  • Phantom equity
  • Workplace experience: thoughtfully designed office spaces for collaboration, with free food and an on-site barista
  • Peace of mind protection: income protection and life assurance
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Flexible benefits: tailor your benefits package with a choice of additional options

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme, without requiring visa sponsorship.
