We seek a Senior Software Engineer to grow our Data Lakehouse team's capacity for impact. The Data Lakehouse team provides the foundational infrastructure and tools that enable teams across the company to store, query, and analyze data at petabyte scale.
Responsibilities:
- Manage an incredible amount of event data across data platforms like Snowflake, ClickHouse, and Databricks
- Build automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications using tools like Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, and RabbitMQ
- Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy
- Deliver high-quality software which delights customers
Requirements:
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience
- Strong focus on building scalable web applications
- Experienced technical leader with a track record of driving architectural decisions
- Strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
Bonus points:
- Professional experience building software at scale, handling high volumes of data and traffic
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, React, Snowflake, microservice architecture, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics
- Experience with agile processes
For candidates based in Canada, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between CA$186,838 and CA$334,740/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between CA$205,600 and CA$366,000/year.
