Daily Substitute Teacher

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Daily Substitute Teacher at Lorain Preparatory High School located in Lorain, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Maintaining accurate records of students' progress and development
• Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
• Managing student behavior and creating a positive classroom environment
• Implementing school-wide culture expectations and communicating with families
• Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice
• Participating in non-instructional activities and collaborating with colleagues

Requirements:

• Active Ohio teaching license in the relevant content area
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information and supervise students
• Passing federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in an urban environment
